We are pleased to introduce our new serological test for the detection of borreliosis, the ID Screen® Borreliosis Double Antigen Multi-species (cat. BORREDA).
This ELISA test allows for the detection of antibodies directed against Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato in horses and other susceptible species (for research use only on human samples).
It may be used:
for the diagnosis of disseminated borreliosis where PCR cannot be used;
for screening with confirmation by Western Blot;
to determine prevalence of infection and conduct disease surveillance;
to demonstrate freedom of infection for individual animals prior to movement or sale.
